Industries
We work for critical infrastructure operators – from energy, oil & gas and water utilities to transport – and for finance, large enterprises, local government and smaller businesses. Each sector has different risks, different formal requirements and a different definition of an outage. Below we show the problems we start from and the reference architectures we propose – as illustrations, without disclosing our clients' deployments.
Sectors
The architectures below are reference designs. The actual solution always follows from an analysis of the sites, requirements and constraints of the organisation.
Industries · Government
Central and regional offices, counties and municipalities have to keep working in a crisis. A link failure, a power cut or a move to a backup location are exactly the moments when public administration still has to operate and coordinate. We design backup communications prepared for these scenarios – and rehearsed.
Typical problem: keeping communications running through outages and across dispersed sites.
First step: an analysis of critical services and single points of failure.
Starlink as an independent backup medium, optionally as private transmission. Starlink for organisations
Offices, backup locations and the crisis management centre inside the organisation's network through a private Starlink PNI network, bypassing the public Internet. Starlink PNI L2/L3
A third medium from the operator with the best measured coverage on site, with automatic failover and priorities for critical services. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
A meeting platform under the organisation's control, not dependent on a single cloud service. Secure video conferencing
A mobile communications node for a backup location. Mobile communications systems
Motorola TETRA radios for crisis management teams, with an antenna installation on the centre's building. Motorola TETRA radios
UPS and a generator with calculated autonomy, written instructions and regular exercises.
Industries · Emergency services
Operations in the field, on the move and in places where public networks are overloaded or unavailable need communications designed around the operation. We combine satellite transmission, LTE/5G, private networks, radios and video into coherent solutions for units and command posts.
Typical problem: difficult terrain, mobility and command.
First step: an operational scenario and security requirements, followed by a field test.
Starlink in a vehicle or a portable kit, with a service plan suited to mobile use. Starlink for organisations
Traffic into the organisation's network, bypassing the public Internet. Starlink PNI L2/L3
Several media with automatic selection of the best one. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
Video, a situational picture and communications with headquarters. Mobile communications systems
Portable, mobile and fixed Motorola TETRA radios, with installations in vehicles and on buildings, and accessories. Motorola TETRA radios
Industries · Energy
Wind and solar farms, substations, pipelines, wells and service bases often lie beyond the reach of fibre. We design connectivity that brings control systems, monitoring and field crews together – with OT traffic separation and redundant transmission media.
Typical problem: sites beyond fibre, OT traffic and work in the field.
First step: a map of sites and measurements on location.
Site traffic reaches the organisation's network through a purpose-built handover point, bypassing the public Internet. Starlink PNI L2/L3
Starlink and LTE/5G managed by SD-WAN, with automatic link failover. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
A private 5G network built on Nokia technology for mobile devices, sensors and video. Private 5G networks
Kits for service crews and mobile communications nodes for outages. Mobile communications systems
Video walls, signal distribution and video conferencing for supervision centres. AV systems and operations centres
Motorola TETRA radios for field crews, service vehicles and control rooms. Motorola TETRA radios
Industries · Critical infrastructure
Pumping stations, water treatment plants, transport hubs and essential service sites are often beyond the reach of fibre, and their control systems need separation and predictable transmission. We design redundant, monitored networks that reduce single points of failure – for water utilities, district heating, transport and other essential services.
Typical problem: single points of failure, dispersed sites and security.
First step: an inventory of sites, a risk analysis and a pilot at one of them.
Private transmission between sites and the supervision centre, separated with VLAN/VRF and bypassing the public Internet. Starlink PNI L2/L3
An independent medium for sites without terrestrial links – as internet access or as the underlay for Starlink PNI L2/L3. Starlink for organisations
Automatic failover between media and priorities for telemetry. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
For large plant areas where coverage and mobility matter. Private 5G networks
Alerts on failovers and on degraded link quality.
Motorola TETRA radios for technical services, vehicles and the supervision centre. Motorola TETRA radios
Industries · Finance and healthcare
Bank branches, hospitals and multi-site organisations cannot stop serving customers and patients because a link fails, and confidential meetings should not depend on external platforms. We design a redundant WAN and video communications under the organisation's control, in line with operational resilience requirements such as NIS2 and DORA.
Typical problem: secure communications and service continuity.
First step: classifying meetings, services and locations by criticality.
Starlink PNI L2/L3 and independent branch links, managed by SD-WAN. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
Pexip Infinity in the organisation's data centre, with access control for meetings. Secure video conferencing
An alternative platform for when a cloud service is unavailable.
Integration of existing rooms and endpoints instead of replacing them. AV systems and operations centres
LEO satellite for the most critical locations. Critical connectivity and business continuity
Industries · Enterprises
Multi-site companies, retail chains, logistics centres and corporate groups need predictable connectivity at every site, a backup link for sales systems and video meetings that work the same at headquarters and in a branch. We design this as one managed whole.
Typical problem: different links, rooms and standards across branches.
First step: an inventory of locations and meeting rooms.
Branches on Starlink inside the organisation's network – as PNI L2 or PNI L3, with traffic separation and QoS. Other branch links are combined through SD-WAN. Starlink PNI L2/L3
One traffic policy for all sites and central link management. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
An independent medium for branches and a fast start for new locations. Starlink for organisations
Small, medium and large rooms in one standard for the platform the company uses. AV systems and operations centres
Video conferencing under the organisation's control for management and supervisory boards. Secure video conferencing
Helpdesk, service and maintenance in an agreed model. Services and support
Industries · Industry and logistics
In high-bay warehouses, yards and on production lines, connectivity has to work on the move, among metal and with many devices at once. We choose between private 5G, Wi-Fi, Starlink PNI L2/L3 and SD-WAN based on measurements – and confirm the choice in a pilot.
Typical problem: large halls, mobile devices and OT systems.
First step: a workshop on use cases, then a site survey.
Zones with mobility and high demands: high-bay storage, yards, AGVs. Private 5G networks
Offices, social areas and devices for which it is the simplest choice.
Plants and warehouses connected to the organisation's data centre through Starlink PNI, with OT traffic separation. Starlink PNI L2/L3
Connectivity between plants and to the data centre, with link redundancy. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
WMS, MES, SCADA and video surveillance – with segmentation and QoS.
Measurements before the decision and a pilot with measurable success criteria.
Industries · Telecom operators
Operators and integrators increasingly serve locations their own infrastructure does not reach. We deliver Starlink there – as internet access or as Starlink PNI L2/L3, with traffic handed over to your network at a controlled handover point, predictable parameters and a clear split of responsibilities.
Typical problem: customer sites beyond your own network.
First step: the service model, the handover design and a pilot at the first location.
Traffic from the terminals handed over to the operator's network as PNI L2 (Ethernet, VLAN/QinQ) or PNI L3 (routing, VRF). Starlink PNI L2/L3
Internet access for customer sites, with terminals and service plans chosen for the location. Starlink for organisations
Controlled traffic handover to the operator's network – two independent handover points for services with high availability requirements.
Throughput, latency, MTU and failover tests before the service goes live.
Industries · SMBs
A smaller company needs the same as a large organisation: internet that does not drop out, a backup link and a meeting room that simply works. We match the solution to the scale – from a single site to several offices connected through Starlink PNI L2/L3 or SD-WAN – and stay with you after deployment.
Typical problem: weak or unreliable internet and no backup link.
First step: a short conversation about the location and your needs.
The main link where there is no fibre, or an independent backup link. Starlink satellite internet
Automatic failover between links, so work does not stop when one of them fails. SD-WAN and multi-WAN
Camera, microphones and display chosen for the room size and the platform you use. AV systems and operations centres
Helpdesk and service in an agreed model. Services and support
The method stays the same: we start with risks and requirements and choose the technology last. Describe your situation and we will come back with a proposal.
